TESCO plc. is a reference supermarket in England and has developed its own standard of Good Agricultural Practice for Fruits and Vegetables: Tesco Nurture. All their suppliers of fruit and vegetables must be certified under this standard.

Nurture was launched in 1992, to ensure Tesco delivers world class quality fruit and vegetables for our customers. It is an exclusive, independently audited, quality standard that assures the customer that fruit and vegetables are grown in an environmental and responsible way.

Each grower is independently audited and monitored regularly to ensure we continue to meet the exacting standard. Nurture is a scheme property of Tesco.

ECCO INGENIEROS S.L. is authorized to audit the Tesco NURTURE standard since 2005.
